Special features regarding the international orientation

The international approach of the faculty is characterised by a high level of incoming and outgoing mobility, both within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme and in global exchange, and is reflected through a broad network of international partnerships. The participation in digital/hybrid teaching by faculty lecturers takes place within the framework of various formats (e.g. COIL, BIP, university-wide initiatives). The MAX mentoring programme and the certification in international skills are further opportunities for students to promote "internationalisation at home".

All subjects benefit from access to centrally provided licenses and infrastructures of the university for digitally supported research and teaching.

Special features regarding research activities

The Faculty of Philosophy has two collaborative research centres: the Media of Cooperation CRC and the Transformation of the Popular CRC. The Digital Kant Centre of North Rhine-Westphalia and the West Central German dialect as well as the research group called Cross-Border Mobility and Institutional Dynamics are also part of the Faculty of Philosophy.
