Owing to numerous partnerships with universities in over 50 countries, the department is excellently positioned for this and is happy to provide information and support with planning and implementation with the help of special Erasmus representatives at the departmental and central university level. Both students and doctoral candidates at Philipps University can take part in short-term mobility projects funded through Erasmus+. Special features regarding the equipment

ILIAS is the teaching and learning platform of Philipps University Marburg. For students, the platform has course materials, online teaching and blended learning offerings as well as opportunities for cooperation with fellow students. For teachers, it offers functions for communication and managing office hours. In addition, instructional tools such as learning modules, exercises, etherpads, wikis, tests or web conference rooms enable asynchronous or synchronous online teaching structures or digital enrichment in the classroom.

Nationally and internationally oriented research topics, increasingly interdisciplinary approach (variety of methods and interlinking of methods); Disciplinary research in the individual subject areas as the foundation for the teaching offered in the subject area and the numerous research and joint projects with interdisciplinary orientation; Particular relevance of regional research (Europe, with a particular focus on Eastern Europe, the MENA region (Middle East and Northern Africa), Southeast Asia and Africa).
