Special features regarding teaching

Business Administration is taught with a focus on small and medium-sized companies in all courses and is supported in all degree courses with Economics, Business Law and Business English. Business Ethics also plays an important role. Specialisations in the areas of Accounting / Taxes, Marketing and Organisation / Process Design / Logistics. Contacts exist with numerous companies in Thuringia for practice projects, excursions and final theses. Separate professorship in Business Start-ups and SME Management.

Special features regarding the equipment

There are a total of three PC clusters available with state-of-the-art technology, featuring software such as SAP, Photoshop, etc. A separate communication laboratory with appropriate video technology is available for the field of practical communication. The digital library offers access to numerous specialist databases, especially for Economics including WISO databases, Springer-Link, nwb database, Beck online and juris.

Other special features

Student commitment is supported, for example, by the Department Council, but also by the student association MTP-Marketing zwischen Theorie und Praxis-e.V. with its own office in Erfurt. Several committed students from the subject area have already received national German grants from the Fachhochschule Erfurt. Successful seminar papers and final theses are published several times a year in the "Erfurter Heften zum angewandten Marketing" (Erfurt journals on Applied Marketing). The Pacioli Science Prize is also awarded.
