Rethinking business: Practice-oriented, sustainable, modern and studyable; In the Faculty of Economics, students are taught by professors and lecturers with professional experience to become generalists and experts. The curriculum is shaped by the latest findings in academic research and practical applications. The faculty offers numerous opportunities for personal development and professional specialisation: for example, through teamwork and project assignments, a stay abroad or through the support for start-up and succession projects.

The lab for business information systems bundles the IT-related activities related to teaching and research. Current and modern business information systems are made available for research and teaching and their use in research and teaching supported. The BIS lab currently supports research and teaching with the following IT systems: SAP, DATEV, MS Office, BIC Cloud and other software.

Special features regarding research activities

The Koblenz Model Factory of the Faculty of Economics promotes a holistic approach to Business Administration. It enables an interactive teaching of complex business processes. The faculty pools its expertise in SME economics in the Institute for SME and Cluster Management, which serves to acquire and carry out research and development assignments aimed at improving the competitiveness of the regional SME economy.

Support for founders

StartUpLab@FH to support innovative business start-ups; The lab is aimed at young students of Koblenz University of Applied Sciences who are driving progress with innovative ideas in technology and society as well as with entrepreneurial thinking and action and thus creating freedom to research for innovative start-ups.

Other special features

Diversity management and environmental and consumer protection are cross-cutting themes in all relevant modules and teaching units.
