Research is a central focus of mechanical engineering in Darmstadt. Be it basic research or industrial contracts: The focus is on the application of scientific methods to practice-relevant issues - and the early involvement of young scientists. Support for founders

In the master's degree students can take useful modules worth up to 12 credit points, e.g.: "Introduction to Innovation Management", "Fundamentals of Patent and Copyright Law", "German and International Business Law"…. HIGHEST: Innovation and start-up centre of the Darmstadt University of Technology: Support services such as assistance in the development of business models, the search for investors and suitable support programmes. A mentoring service and topical courses and lecture series complete the offer. Exist start-up grant + infrastructure.
