Special features regarding the international orientation

The university is active as a "global player" and has established about 160 university partnerships worldwide. This facilitates international exchange; it also benefits our approximately 1,200 international students from almost 100 nations. The Department of Business Administration is one of the leading institutions for applied management in Germany. The lecturers are internationally sought-after speakers and/or authors in their fields of Economics and also support companies in the metropolitan region through teaching research projects.

Special features regarding the equipment

Due to the continuous expansion in media technology in recent years, all lecture theatres and seminar rooms are equipped with modern projectors which adequately support the use of multimedia teaching materials. Furthermore, five selected seminar rooms also offer so-called "smartboards" which can be used as electronic boards for interactive presentations. The five main lecture theatres also provide a similar type of technology. PC workstations, printers, digital projectors, laptops for lending, wireless LAN, symposia with PCs, smartboards, presenters, microphones, amplifiers and an online library.

Special features regarding research activities

Research at the Faculty of Business Administration of Nuremberg Institute of Technology takes an interdisciplinary approach and provides many stimuli for progress. In this way, cooperation with regional companies is also deepened and the research fields of the Faculty of Business Administration are anchored in the core and interdisciplinary skills of the Nuremberg metropolitan region. Thanks to the various fields of competence, students are prepared for professional life and can at the same time further their own strengths and interests. Students work in partnership with companies in teaching, learning and research formats.

Professorship for Business Start-ups; Compulsory subject Virtual Business Start-up; The start-up advisory service is available to all students, staff and alumni of the university for advice and support relating to business start-ups; Advice on topics throughout the start-up process, from the idea and the evaluation of the business idea to financing options, application for funding programmes for innovative business ideas, arrangement of network partners, information on start-up and idea competitions.
