As an institution of Deggendorf Institute of Technology (THD) for applied research, Technology Campus Grafenau (TCG) pools the expertise of THD in four interdisciplinary research fields: "Smart Region" (Digital Village), "Business Data Analytics & Optimisation", "Applied Artificial Intelligence" and "Artificial Intelligence for Context & Activity Recognition". Institute for Business Start-Ups (interdisciplinary, university-wide): The Startup Campus supports business start-ups at the university and provides support for company founders from the initial idea to the company foundation.
