Admission requirements
Art. 3 Admission to the Master's course (1) The admission is determined by the Admissions Office at the University of Applied Sciences. For this purpose, it regularly obtains the expert opinion of the head of the degree course on the fulfilment of the admission requirements according to paragraph (2). (2) To be admitted to the postgraduate Master's degree, applicants must fulfil the following requirements: - a first certificate of academic degree with a grade of 2.5 or better in the field of (business) psychology, economics and social sciences or comparable courses of study with at least 210 credit points or at least comparable effort as well as professional practical experience after the first university degree of at least one year or - a first certificate of academic degree with a grade of 2.5 or better with at least 210 credit points or at least comparable effort as well as professional practical experience after the first university degree of at least one year in a business psychological field of work such as marketing, personnel management, leadership or comparable fields of work. or - a first certificate of academic degree with at least 210 credit points or at least comparable effort as well as practical professional experience after the first university degree of at least five years in comparable fields of work in business psychology such as marketing, personnel management, leadership or other comparable fields of work in business psychology. (3) If applicants have a professional academic degree with fewer than 210 credit points, admission is granted on condition that they make up the missing credit points at the latest on completing their studies on the Master's degree course: - by passing designated subject-relevant additional modules of the West Coast University of Applied Sciences in the amount of the missing credit points or - by proving acquired professional skills or other non-university competences, the equivalence of which to the additional modules is determined by the selection committee. (4) The admissions office decides whether a degree course is comparable and whether the work experience is sufficient or comparable, on the basis of the degree documents and work references submitted. In case of doubt, it can arrange an interview with the applicant and call in experts. The decisive factor for professional practice is the duration of the employment contracts submitted. (5) Section 1 applies accordingly for graduates of foreign universities with degrees recognised as equivalent. The licensing authority decides on the equivalence on the basis of the documents submitted. (6) For admission, applicants must also have sufficient command of the German language. For applicants who did not complete their schooling or first degree mainly in German, these must be proven by minimum performance in an internationally recognised test for competence level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
