Annotation

Engineering informatics is the art of using state-of-the-art computer technology to achieve new innovative advances in various technical disciplines. The degree programme therefore focuses on the application of computer science in an engineering discipline such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or process engineering (you can choose a specialisation here). In addition to technical fundamentals, students of Engineering Informatics also acquire in-depth technical knowledge in the core areas of Informatics. This includes, for example, software engineering, simulation, modelling, algorithms and data structures, mathematics, security/reliability and specification technology. Graduates in Engineering Informatics often work together with engineers in the automotive, aircraft or electrical industry.
