Annotation
Sociology, combined with Ethnology in Konstanz, focuses on the structures of cohabitation of people in a society. It examines the principles and processes that give them shape, hold them together or make them drift apart. Thus, it is about how societies work, the role that culture plays, as well as about how knowledge is transferred and acquired. Students learn to answer these questions through various theories and methods, as well as to describe, understand and explain society. The subject can be studied as a major or minor. For information about the minor, please refer to our website. A decision has to be made between the PraxisTrack (6-month internship) and the International Track (1 semester abroad).
