Target group
Bachelor''s degree graduates in particular with the study courses Enology, Beverage Technology and Agricultural Sciences, but also the courses Wine Industry as well as Nutritional Sciences, who want to qualify with a leadership and managerial goal in the viticultural and enological areas of the industry. They should (with the appropriate choice of the profile modules) simultaneously be in the position to recognise integral economic relationships and to be able to steer decision-making procedures in this regard. In addition, the graduates gain the competencies to apply research objectives in the areas of Viticulture and Wine Studies.
Annotation
Cooperative degree course with Universität Gießen and Hochschule Geisenheim. Application and enrolment at Universität Gießen. The course is divided into two phases. The first phase is completed at Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen (JLU), the second phase at Forchungsanstalt Geisenheim.
Admission requirements
Admission requirement is a relevant Bachelor's degree. The following Bachelor's degree is currently relevant: -\tBeverage technology -\tViticulture and Oenology The Examination Board may recognise other study programs as equivalent in the context of the application and admission procedure after a case-by-case examination. In order to do so, sound basic knowledge, especially in the following areas must be evident: - General Chemistry and Physics - General Viticulture - Biochemistry and Molecular Biology - Soil Science and Plant Nutrition - Botany - Microbiology - Phytomedicine - Sensor Technology - Wine Technology - Technology - Wine Chemistry
