Target group
Students with an academic degree resulting from a Bachelor's degree course in Art Education, a multi-subject Bachelor's degree with Art Education as a main subject, as well as a Teaching Qualification (Grammar Schools) with Art as the main subject. Recognised as equivalent are: academic degrees in the subject areas Cultural Studies with focus on Art, Media Studies with focus on Art, Fine Arts and Art History, as well as related subject areas with artistic/aesthetic components. After individual consideration, the Examination Committee may recognise other courses as equivalent and take into account additional professional training. In all cases the proof of artistic suitability must be provided by the passing of a portfolio examination in accordance with the order of proof of artistic suitability.
Annotation
Study as major and minor subject possible. The course qualifies graduates for the field of extra-curricular artistic education/cultural work, the field of art instruction and visual media or the field of artistic communication.

a.) Major subject Students wishing to study Art Education as a main subject in the Master's degree course in History and Cultural Studies should have a relevant Bachelor's degree in Art Education, a multi-subject Bachelor's degree with Art Education as major subject, as well as a Teaching Qualification (Grammar Schools) with Art as major subject.
