Annotation
So-called external courses are also arranged in Ulm. Students who have been hired by the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart can study at this study location. Judicial officer trainees of the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland receive their training here. Following admission to the traineeship, the applicants are employed as civil servants with a revocable appointment. They have the title of “Rechtspflegeranwärterin” or “Rechtspflegeranwärter”, e.g. “trainee judicial officer” During the training (the so-called "Vorbereitungsdienst" or traineeship) they receive trainee stipends (salary) according to the Civil Service Remuneration Act (Bundesbesoldungsgesetz).
Admission requirements
Training within the administration. No direct application at the higher education institution. Applications have to be addressed to the responsible hiring authorities. It is not possible to apply directly to the Hochschule für Rechtspflege Schwetzingen. Instead, the application must be sent to the hiring authority of the federal state/part of the federal state in which the practical training is to be completed and the subsequent professional activity is to take place. Traineeship staff can only be employed if they meet the legal requirements for appointment to the civil service. Information regarding the additional appointment requirements (school education, maximum age, etc.), the application deadlines and the application documents to be submitted can be found on the web pages of the responsible authorities.
