Annotation
The storage of sustainably generated energy is becoming increasingly important. Rechargeable batteries and batteries are highly relevant not only for use in electric vehicles, but also for stationary applications. A new generation of experts who understand the technological and entrepreneurial demands of battery production and can classify them in the overall industrial and social context is needed to drive the energy revolution forwards. Our MEng degree course in Sustainable Battery Production Engineering therefore provides you with technical expertise in battery technology and production technology as well as management basics. In the Master's degree course, you will learn more about the technological fundamentals of battery systems, battery production technologies and current technologies such as automation, robotics and mechatronics. You will deal with the topics of metrology, quality assurance, data analysis and recycling technologies and learn and work in a highly application-oriented manner thanks to the integrated laboratory and team work. Modules on product lifecycle management, risk and project management as well as innovative business models are just as much a part of the curriculum as the areas of digital signal processing, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies and virtual reality. In the process, you will learn to look at economic and technical systems not in isolation, but holistically and will always place the topic of sustainability at the forefront of your thoughts and decisions. The guiding principles of the circular economy and sustainable development not only serve to promote your expertise, but also help you to develop your personality and to always give consideration to the environmental, social and societal challenges that battery production entails. Thanks to the skill- and project-oriented degree course concept, you will be able to strengthen your analytical, communications, social and intercultural skills in projects and while working at the partner company. The dual orientation also helps you not only to gain better insights into everyday work and the practical challenges, but also to establish a network, become an integral part of the partner company and thus increase your career prospects.
