Available Ancient Studies sub-disciplines are Ancient History, Classical Archaeology, Classical Philology or Prehistory and Early History. In the dual-subject Master's course, students can choose one of the 4 specialisation areas as an extended major subject (93 CP) or as a minor subject (27 CP). A major/minor combination of two different Ancient Studies subjects is also possible.

Admission requirements

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent university degree with a primary focus on Classical and Ancient Studies, a subject within the field of Classical and Ancient Studies or (for the Master's degree course in the extended major, Classical and Ancient Studies with a focus on Classical Archaeology) Visual Science, or in a related course as well as a special aptitude for the Master's degree course.
