Annotation
The new international Master of Arts in Jewellery is uniquely positioned at the interface between traditional know-how and craftsmanship, state-of-the-art technology and future-oriented research and development. Experimentation, analysis and critical reflection sharpen aesthetic self-confidence, independent thinking and confident craftsmanship. The Master´s degree programme represents the extension of the term 'jewellery' and delves into the contexts of material and technology, body and space, series production and unique pieces as well as tradition and innovation. Jewellery is interdisciplinary, jewellery creation refers to the body, space, social development, culture and the environment. Professor Christine Lüdeke: 'With the new MA in Jewellery, we are exploring the term 'jewellery‘ in a wide variety of contexts and interpretations. The DNA of our Pforzheim site offers us unique, fertile ground for the free use of traditional techniques and mutually enriching dialogue with industry.'
