Annotation
The need for skilled workers in social work has continued to increase in recent years. The reasons for this are, for example, new social and legal tasks in the field of refugee and migration work, child protection, youth social work, educational support for parents and integration support for children and young people with (impending) mental disabilities. But well-trained people are also needed for health promotion and rehabilitation of people with chronic or mental illnesses. An important area in social work is also the education sector itself, which continues to expand with new claims of inclusion. A stronger build-up of social spaces is also in focus. The aim of the study programme is an academic education that not only teaches students solutions to acute problems, but also analytical and preventive perspectives. To this end, students are taught scientifically sound specialist knowledge on the one hand, and on the other hand, they are encouraged to develop a professional attitude, personal stability and a self-critical ability to reflect.
