Annotation

The Master's degree course in Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (Master's degree in Psychotherapy) meets the state and professional law requirements in accordance with the German Psychotherapists Act and the German Licensing Regulations for Psychotherapists. The Master's degree course in Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (Master's degree in Psychotherapy) is professionally accredited by the AHPGS. The basic competencies to be acquired in the degree course are geared towards targeted participation in psychotherapeutic care and towards the development of scientific competencies, the ability to engage in lifelong learning, including the ability to engage in further and continuing education, as well as the development of organisational or leadership competencies. In addition to content-related, technical-methodical and implementation-oriented competences, personal or social skills must also be developed in a form that is necessary for independent, autonomous and comprehensive psychotherapeutic care for people of all ages, including the needs of people with disabilities.

The courses at MSB Medical School Berlin are not admission-restricted: talent, motivation and discipline count more than the grade point average on the certificate. Punctuality, good performance and commitment during the studies are of great importance. There are the following admission requirements at the MSB for admission to our Master's degree in Psychotherapy: - Eligibility to study Master’s degree courses in accordance with Art. 10 of Berlin Higher Education Act (BerlHG) - Admission requirements for the Master's degree course in psychotherapy in accordance with the PsychThG applicable since 01.09.2020 and the Approbation Regulations for Psychotherapists applicable since 01.09.2020
