Admission requirements

Diplom degree in Catholic Theology or an equivalent final exam at a university of applied sciences covered by Constitutional Law (Grundgesetz). A theological final exam at another university can be recognised if there is equivalence. The applicant must have earned a grade of at least “good” in the final exam in the subjects chosen in accordance with the above. Applicants who have completed the academic examination for the Teaching Qualification for Grammar Schools will be admitted if they have earned a grade of at least “good” in the subject Catholic Theology or Religious Studies. Evidence of an additional study programme of at least two semesters in Catholic Theology at Johannes Gutenberg University after the aforementioned final exam.
