The practical part of the course takes place in one of the Hessian or Thuringian training courts, the theoretical part in Rotenburg. During the course you will have civil servant status and as a trainee judicial officer will therefore receive above-average trainee remuneration in accordance with the applicable salary regulations.

Training within the administration. No direct application at the higher education institution. Application via the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court. As for the so-called ‘Vorbereitungsdienst’ (preparatory stage of training) only those can be appointed who fulfil the legal requirements for the appointment to the civil service.
