Annotation

In our time of rapid change, companies face a variety of challenges. You will be involved in these tasks in the future. Products must be functional, approvable, user-friendly, cost-effective and maintainable. Their design should appeal to their target groups and all this against the background of material and production-relevant aspects. Cultural, social and political changes as well as an ever shorter life cycle of products in the global market must also be taken into account. In our Bachelor's degree course in Product Development and Technical Design, you will learn to design and further develop technologically oriented products – consumer goods such as household items or motor vehicles, but also capital goods such as technical systems that are used for production themselves. You will also acquire the knowledge of how to control such development processes. Your study content includes techniques of computer-aided development, design and industrial design as well as material and manufacturing techniques. Our dual study variant offers you the "plus" that you apply the knowledge you have acquired at the university directly in practical work at the partner company during the lecture-free periods, thus gaining practical experience. Through this close interlinking of theory and practice, you will qualify twice. In addition, you will be remunerated for working at the company.
