Annotation
In the master's degree course "Visual Communication", students can study in the specialisations of the respective professorships of the degree course. Currently, these are graphic design, typography, information design, staged and documentary photography, image/text conception, advertising, film/video, visual culture. Specialist support for students in the master's projects is provided by at least one professorship from the practical area of the degree programme and one professorship from the theoretical area. The application for the degree course should indicate which of the taught specialisms the applicant is interested in. The Master's degree programme in "Visual Communication" requires a particularly high degree of initiative. The degree programme also makes it possible to carry out commissioned work and topics with a high degree of practical relevance within and outside of the university. The work is supervised in group consultations and individual interviews. As part of their studies, students have access to the facilities of the University or the Faculty of Art and Design (e.g. workshops, laboratories, library).
