Target group
The degree course is aimed at people with a first degree in Psychology or a related subject. It imparts knowledge and skills in current topics and methods of cognitive sciences and their fields of application and is interesting for people with a professional goal in academic teaching and research or in educational, work or organisational psychology. One focus is on basic science and non-clinical applications.
Annotation
The degree course focuses on cognitive, neural and developmental processes that underlie human behaviour. Students can choose between a fundamentals- or application-oriented specialisation. The elective area offers the opportunity to set individual focuses, e.g. in the areas of machine learning, data science, behavioural economics or methods of cognitive neuroscience.
Admission requirements
- Certificate of academic degree/equivalent academic degree with a standard period of study of at least six semesters (180 CP) or a comparable scope in the subject of Psychology or a related subject (e.g. Cognitive Sciences, Cognitive Neurosciences, Cognitive Psychology; - Grade 2.9 or better -German at level DSH-2 or comparable proof (if first academic degree/higher education entrance qualification is not acquired at a German-speaking institution) - Deadline: 31.5.; Use the application portal If there is no degree certificate yet: Proof of at least 140 CP with provisional overall grade; subsequent submission of certificate possible until 03.9.
