Target group
The course is aimed at graduates with a first professionally qualifying degree in Degree courses in German Studies, Romance Studies, Slavonic Studies, Latin Studies or an equivalent and subject-related study programme at a university or equivalent in Germany or abroad. You should be very interested in working with literary texts as well as the sociological, political, economic and practical aspects of cultural work for the linguistic and cultural area of the chosen focus.
Admission requirements
A subject-related requirement is a first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree from Germany or abroad that includes pass/fail courses in the field of German Studies, Romance Studies, Slavonic Studies, Latin Studies or Medieval Latin Studies/Modern Latin Studies worth at least 60 credit points. In the language correlating to the chosen specialisation, proficiency at level C1 (specialisation Latin Studies: Latinum (Latin proficiency certificate)) as well as another modern foreign language at level B1 must be demonstrated. Foreign students are required to provide evidence of German proficiency at the level of a “German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education for Foreign Students” (DSH) test (stage 2), a “Test of German as a Foreign Language” (TestDaF) (TDN 4) or a recognised equivalent.
