Annotation
According to the Psychotherapists' Act, the Master's degree programme in Psychotherapy enables students in particular to: Diagnose and treat disorders with disease value or initiate necessary further treatment measures by third parties, to reflect on one's own psychotherapeutic actions and to further develop therapy processes taking into account the knowledge gained and the current state of research, To implement measures to test, safeguard and further improve the quality of care and to document and evaluate own or other psychotherapeutic care measures, To inform patients, other participants or other persons, institutions or authorities to be involved about treatment-relevant findings, and to point out indicated psychotherapeutic and supportive treatment options as well as to clarify the consequences of a treatment, to deal with expert questions relating to psychotherapeutic care, including questions relating to work capacity, professional capacity or earning capacity as well as the degree of disability or damage on the basis of a personal medical history, comprehensive diagnostic findings and other relevant information, to prepare and evaluate scientific work on the basis of scientific theory and to integrate its results into one's own psychotherapeutic activity, to take professional ethical principles into account in psychotherapeutic actions, to communicate actively and interdisciplinary with the various professional groups working in the healthcare system and to work together in a patient-oriented manner.

- Eligibility to study in Master’s degree programmes according to § 9 BbgHG (Brandenburg Higher Education Act) - Admission requirements for the Master´s degree programme in psychotherapy in accordance with the PsychThG applicable since 01.09.2020 and the Approbation Regulations for Psychotherapists applicable since 01.09.2020
