The consecutive Master's degree programme “Turkish Studies” is a scientific degree course leading to an additional professionally qualifying academic degree based on the first professionally qualifying academic degree. It aims to convey in-depth scientific knowledge in the fields of linguistic Turkology and Turkish Philology.

Admission requirements

1. Proof of a Bachelor's degree in the range of a Swedish Bachelor's degree (candidate examination) in Turkish languages, Turkology or another area directly related to the subject of Turkic Studies. A corresponding certificate must be available at the time of admission. 2. Proof of command of English. The Master's degree programme "Turkic Studies" is an English-speaking degree course. The examinations are to be conducted in English (German language skills are not required). 3. The application and admission procedure is conducted by Uppsala University (UU, Sweden): https://www.universityadmissions.se (Students spend the first and second semesters at UU in Sweden and the third and fourth semesters at JGU in Mainz).
