Annotation
Students in the degree programme "Operations Research & Business Analytics" learn scientific methods for the analysis and optimisation of complex business processes, and for the critical assessment of decision alternatives. They are taught in-depth problem knowledge from the corresponding fields of application (supply chain management, operations, logistics, capital markets, financial and risk management), so that as graduates of the programme, they will be able to make a significant contribution to the development of solution approaches for strategic, tactical and operational problems of a company. In particular, students are enabled to prepare and analyse large amounts of data using scientific methods and to use the data to calculate forecasts or to create decision-supporting models. In addition to providing input data for business planning models, students also learn to create mathematical models themselves, apply algorithms to calculate solutions and, if necessary, develop new methods. Thus, the analytical skills of the students are further developed and the practical solution skills are further expanded.
