Target group
The 4-semester Master's degree course is aimed at graduates with a first academic degree who aim for a higher qualification through supplementary studies.
Annotation
As a more application-oriented degree programme, this Master's degree course is also offered as a supplementary option to the research-oriented Master's in Practical Research in Social Work and Education (PSP).
Admission requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed an initial professionally qualifying degree (Diplom, Magister, Bachelor's or State Examination). Applicants must also provide evidence of consecutive professional experience of at least 12 months. Applicants who have completed their BA degree in six semesters with 180 credits at an institution outside of the ASH Berlin must achieve an additional 30 credits for the Master's degree, as the BA degrees at the ASH Berlin require seven semesters of study in order to obtain 210 credits. According to individual assessment, academic achievements of up to 15 credits that have already been completed in continuing education or professional practice can be recognised. An additional 15 credits must be completed by the end of the Master's degree course, e.g. by attending supplementary modules.

Tuition fees
The tuition fee is EUR 1,500 per semester. This amounts to EUR 6,000 for the entire study programme (EUR 250 per month). Payment in instalments is possible and straightforward.
