Target group
History deals with the past of mankind, whereby a distinction is made between Prehistory and actual History, i.e. the time for which we have written sources at our disposal. On the basis of individual studies on individuals or social groups in their political, social, cultural, religious, geographic and economic environment, historians try to identify basic patterns in human actions. The investigation of the past is expected to aid evaluation of the present. Every generation poses their own questions to history and, correspondingly, obtains different answers.
