Annotation
The Weimar understanding of the concept of media goes far beyond mass media. In addition to the internet, television and books, the diversity of media studies topics is huge: Animals, screens, games, laboratories or roads – all these are things worth exploring in our everyday study. In Weimar, we are interested in cultural and social design processes that not only take place with media, but also become possible through media. In this sense, you will expand and deepen your scientific skills in the Master's degree programme in Media Studies and develop an independent critical-analytical research profile. Because that is what we at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar value most. Central to the teaching in the Master's degree programme in Media Studies is a lived culture of open thinking characterised by original and unconventional approaches and methods: Group work, film essays, excursions, visits to the cinema, e-learning and a lively discussion culture are part of the study practice.
