Annotation

The University Mainz offers the Master of Education exclusively for Teaching Qualification (Grammar Schools). If the Bachelor degree certificate is not available by the application deadline, but at least 135 credit points can be demonstrated: Submit a certificate of study and examinations and the average grade achieved so far. (This certificate must be issued by the relevant higher education institution, original or officially authenticated copy). After enrolment, the diploma must be submitted. If the degree was obtained abroad: officially authenticated copy of a certificate of recognition (responsible: Student Service - Admission International).

Proof of a teaching-related Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Education) in a relevant subject. Student applicants:with a degree that is not fully equivalent to the required Bachelor's degree, but equivalent to at least 140 credit points, may be admitted to the Master's degree course on the condition that the shortfall in pass/fail courses and graded courses are acquired subsequently by the end of the first academic year. A requirement for the Master of Education course is that students have sufficient active and passive command of English to enable them to read English specialist literature and to participate in lectures conducted in English. Applicants must still have the examination entitlement for the subject of Chemistry in the Master of Education course.
