Target group
The course is aimed at graduates with a first professional degree in Degree programmes in the field of Ancient Oriental Studies, Languages and Cultures of the Near East or one that is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in the amount of 180 credits and subject-related study at a university or equivalent higher education institution in Germany or abroad.
Annotation
This course of study offers a broad range of compulsory electives. In addition to modules in Jena, modules in Leipzig (Akkadian Language and Literature etc.) and in Halle (Near East basic module) can also be attended.
Admission requirements
The technical prerequisite is proof of academic achievements in the field of Ancient Oriental Studies in the scope of at least 60 credit points and a final grade of at least 'good'. International applicants are required to provide proof of command of German at the level of a DSH test (stage 2), a TestDaF (TDN 4) or a recognised equivalent.
