Target group
The currently planned specification of the entrance requirements from the examination regulations (PO) is as follows (binding are always the currently valid study course specific PO (SPO) linked to the General Examination Regulations (APO)): Applicants must have obtained a Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Engineering / Technical Studies with a predominantly Mechanical Engineering content (for example, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related degree programs). [§3 SPO] (1) The general admission requirements according to § 19 HochSchG must be met. (2) In addition to what has already been said, the students generally have to provide evidence of a bachelor's or graduate degree with a good result (grade 2.5 or ECTS grade B according to § 8 para. 9 or better). (3) If the prerequisite according to para. 2 with regard to grade and ECTS grade is not available, additional admission-related aspects for the admission to the Master's degree (e.g practical subject-related activity, completion of studies in regular period of study, student council work, semester abroad) may be taken into account in the individual case. (4) For students who have completed their first degree in a degree program suitable for another university in accordance with §3 SPO, the examination board will determine whether the necessary basics exist. In particular, the Examination Board has the possibility of providing for admission on the condition that certain study and examination achievements from a Bachelor's degree course are provided before the start of the final thesis. (5) If there are less than 210 credit points from a previous Bachelor's program for admission to the Master's degree program and if no achievements can be recognised as equivalent, the missing credit points must be made up before the start of the final thesis. The modules to be made up are determined by the Examination Board. (6) In justified exceptional cases, upon request, students may provisionally be admitted to the Master's program prior to the completion of the Bachelor's degree program. The examination committee will decide on such applications. Enrolment expires if the entry requirements are not met by the end of the first semester. In this case, completed examination result will be attested to. [Points (1) to (6) according to §4 of APO]
