Annotation
Innovation in motor vehicles today is driven mainly by automotive electronics. While the electronic control system for drive and suspension systems was introduced several years ago, current trends involve driver assistance systems, electronically controlled steering systems and message systems as well as the “Bluetooth” link between the mobile phone and the vehicle or communication between vehicles via WiFi. Modern motor vehicles today comprise over 100 electrical and electronic components that need to be linked to each other in an intelligent manner. On the one hand, reliability plays an important role under extreme environmental conditions such as heat, moisture, mechanical vibrations and electromagnetic radiation, and on the other hand the functionality of the systems. Therefore, you will also acquire special knowledge about chassis behaviour, modern electrical drive concepts and intelligent energy storage systems during your studies.
