Annotation
This degree course is online-based, which allows for the greatest possible learning flexibility in terms of time and location and a balance between, for example, work, studies and family life. The aim of the course is to enable graduates to handle and help shape the complex care tasks in a changing healthcare system in an interprofessional and evidence-based manner. This aims to strengthen the quality of care and improve cooperation between the individual professional groups with regard to common goals for and with patients. The target group of the degree course is both nurses (including healthcare and nursing, healthcare and paediatric nursing, geriatric care and nursing, caring for people with special educational needs) as well as various therapeutic professions, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists who have successfully completed three years of training and already have at least one year of professional experience. If the relevant requirements are met, admission to the degree course is also possible without a school leaving certificate giving right of entry to higher education (Abitur).
Admission requirements
1. Proof of state recognition in one of the health professions in accordance with the applicable professional law: a) Healthcare and Nursing b) Healthcare and Paediatric Nursing c) Geriatric Care and Nursing d) Physiotherapy e) Ergotherapy f) Speech Therapy 2. Proof of employment in the field of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, health and nursing, health and paediatric nursing or geriatric care and nursing for over a year full-time employment (correspondingly longer for part-time employment).
