Annotation
This is an online face-to-face degree course that you can study in parallel with MTL training or professional MTL/MTLA activity, no matter where you are. You have to go to Zweibrücken 1-2 times per semester on Saturdays for the examinations. As a graduate of the degree course in Medicine and Biosciences, you are a scientifically qualified laboratory specialist. You: - Evaluate and apply analytical, diagnostic and biomedical laboratory methods, optimise, validate and develop them further - Understand clinical pictures and develop diagnostic and therapeutic options - Understand microsystems engineering applications and can apply them to biomedical and pharmaceutical applications - Are familiar with quality management and assurance - Independently shape the learning and work process - Are able to assess scientific results and subject-related solutions from a scientific point of view and to take ethical aspects into account.
Admission requirements
Training-integrated degree course: general higher education entrance qualification, subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or vocational training (overall grade average at least 2.5) AND a training contract with a state-recognised school for medical-technical laboratory assistants or medical technologists for laboratory analysis that cooperates with Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences. Career-integrated studies: Training-integrated degree course: general higher education entrance qualification, subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or vocational training (overall grade average at least 2.5) AND completed training as a medical-technical laboratory assistant in accordance with the Training and Examination Regulations for Technical Assistants in Medicine (MTA-APrV) of 25 April 1994.
