Annotation
The Bachelor's degree course trains qualified professionals who will contribute to the implementation of inclusion in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This is based on an almost 200 year history of help for disabled persons with an educational focus. This has lead to the development of Therapeutic Education Studies as an industry, profession and science. The modern training in Special Education Studies is focused on a practice that builds on an inclusive approach to the inclusion of persons with disabilities, developmental hazards or impairments as a permanent component of society and to provide forms of aid that will improve their competencies and help them cope with their day-to-day living. Special Education Teachers can work in areas such as early intervention and educational support, in child and youth psychiatries, in schools, in integrative nursery schools and in residential facilities or workshops for persons with disabilities or they can work independently with a special educational needs practice. Questions regarding part-time studies should be addressed to the Student Advice Centre - studienberatung@hs-nordhausen.de
