In the combined Bachelor's for gaining a Teaching Qualification, this subject can be studied as a core subject (for Gymnasium or comprehensive school), as a subsidiary subject (for Gymnasium or comprehensive school), subject (for Haupt-/Realschule or comprehensive school) and as a subject or special subject (Primary Schools). The Teaching Qualification is obtained through completion of consecutive Bachelor's and Master of Education courses. Note: Educational Sciences is always a compulsory additional component of a Teaching Qualification course. You need to apply for this separately by the respective deadline.

Admission requirements

Admission requirement for the Bachelor's course is an adequate qualification for admission to higher education (e.g. Abitur). Please note that additional admission requirements apply for Sports Science courses for Teaching Qualification. Proof of aptitude is assessed through a written procedure and is a requirement for enrolment. As a first requirement, a physician's report must be submitted, certifying that the applicant satisfies the physical requirements for undertaking a sports course of study. The report must not be more than three months old at the time the application is submitted. Final proof of aptitude is deemed to have been provided, if proof of having attained sporting achievements at a sufficient level is provided. Special conditions apply to applicants with international education certificates. Special conditions also apply to applicants qualified in professional training.
