  • scientific services in research
  • analysis of single cell RNA-sequencing datasets of tumor cells
  • high resolution confocal light microscopy
  • analysis of tumor and host metabolomes using mass spectrometry
  • Drosophila genetics using state-of-the-art biochemical and cell biological methods
  • molecular biology methods to investigate mRNA and protein expression in tissues

The position is limited to a time period deemed adequate for the completion of a doctoral degree. As part of the assigned duties, there will be ample opportunity to conduct the independent scientific research necessary for the completion of a doctorate. The limitation complies to § 2, 1 WissZeitVG.

  • high motivation and interest on independent research
  • capacity for teamwork
  • a molecular biology skill set
  • background in Drosophila genetics and light microscopy techniques is desirable

Disposition to own scientific qualification as part of the doctorate project on epithelial tumorigenesis and cancer cachexia is expected.

We actively support the professional development of junior researchers by the offers of Marburg Research Academy (MARA), the International Office and the Higher Education Didactics Office.

We offer :

• the Hesse state ticket (Landesticket) for local public transport
