Overview
The student residence in Brentanostraße is a small, modern building dating from the 1990s. All of the residents know one another here and the atmosphere is correspondingly relaxed.
Residents can use their own furniture in this residence as the apartments are unfurnished. There is, however, a modern kitchenette. The laundry room is in the basement and it is also equipped with tumble driers. There is a common room for parties and other activities. Those who are interested in sport can pump some iron in the residence’s gym. The gardens surrounding the hall are a favourite place for barbeques in the summer, while the little ones can play in the sand pit.
The FU is easily reachable by bike, the other universities can be accessed with public transport.

Duration of housing
As a rule students can stay up to ten semesters in a dorm. In compliance with the contract type, the minimum period of residence is three months.
The period of occupancy can be extended by up to four semesters for foreign students, students with chronic illnesses or physical or mental impairments, single parents, for students close to finishing their degree and for part-time students.
