• Standard application procedure

  Application requirements
  Enrolled students (inclusive preparation courses) of the educational institutions Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg and Hochschule Mittweida are authorized to live in one of the student halls of residence of the Studentenwerk Freiberg.

  Application deadline
  Due to the high demand (especially for the winter semester) please apply as soon as possible to improve your chances of getting your desired place, or even your preferred one, in the residence hall. Applications are taken all year round and processed in turn according to their date of receipt. Neither the offer of a university place nor enrolment are preconditions for making an application for a place at a residence hall. You do not have to present your certificate of enrolment until you conclude the tenancy agreement.

• Additional information

  Students who fulfil the following criteria are prioritised:
  - foreign students who are disadvantaged in the open housing market,
  - disabled and chronically ill students for whom the accommodation at the Studentenwerk Freiberg would mean a relief from their situation,
  - students in an extraordinarily difficult personal situation,
  - students with a child,
  - students, especially beginners in their first course of study, who are not able to reach their hometown by public transport.
