Locations: Very extensive online library of the university in German and English, offering round-the-clock access to databases, e-books, journals, etc.; Stock: 143,000 licensed and open access journals in all fields; 20 e-book platforms with over 90,000 licensed and open access e-books; Almost 30 databases; Service: In-person training courses as part of lectures in German and English; Online training courses tailored to the different needs of the types of study offered; Online consultations; Question & Answer events (e.g. Apple, Psychology, Social Work); Library coaching in 1:1 setting; Individual appointments as required (online, by telephone or in person); Brief in-person information sessions on individual topics (coffee lectures, thesis get-together, etc.); Video tutorials; Online workshops

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Italian

Special features regarding university sports

The university does not have its own sports programme. The IU is a member of the ADH. Sport activities are organised by students and financially supported by the IUBH. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The rugby team organises a "Rugby am Rhein” tournament every year. Current sports are: Rugby, basketball and volleyball, football, table tennis, martial arts, cheer leading, cricket, tennis and badminton. The students take part in regional, inter/national tournaments (Eurokonstantia, DHM, Euromasters, Royals Cup, Nicolas Tournament, Cheerleader Varsity Europe, , etc) Sports team leaders receive a certificate of appreciation.
