Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in almost all programmes of comparable university sports facilities, depending on the pricing system. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Open to: All students, staff, guests. About 100 different sports, 60 of which are free of charge for students of the TU. Own gym (approx. 30 sports, 2000 square metres, courses, tower, sauna, squash and much more). Outdoor sports (approx. 30 activities/year: Snow/water sports, mountain biking, climbing), university’s own snow instructor teams (40 instructors + 5 German Ski Association ski instructors) and climbing (modular training, partnership with German Climbing Association (DAV)). Internal competitions (e.g. UNI League, Beach League) and national competitions. Events: Summer ball, parties and much more. Approx. 100 student assistants, approx. 300 instructors, university’s own basic/advanced training, licences from professional associations.
